NonProfit-Connection has been developed as a result of an investigation into the nonprofit software products available in the market place today. NonProfit-Connection is owned by TheMenInPink.org. TheMenInPink.org is a nonprofit organization supporting families and individuals going through cancer.

Bruce Dill, the founder of TheMenImPink.org, has been in the software development business for over 30 years. His investigation revealed as a rule, nonprofit organizations do a very good job for the specific purpose they were founded. For example a nonprofit organization which provides wigs to breast cancer patients does a great job of distributing wigs, but they do not do a great job of the management side of their organization.
There are several reasons why this occurs in the industry. First of all, good business management requires the investment in hardware and software. The word nonprofit is very applicable because it means there is often very little money to invest in capital expenditures like software.

Secondly, a nonprofit organization must invest in more than one software product to enable them to both manage the basics including donors, events, members, etc., however in addition to all this they must also invest in an accounting program which integrates with the software product they choose.

Mr. Dill determined there needed to be a cost effective fully integrated product which could combine both the data management and accounting systems. Mr. Dill also felt the systems on the market were too expensive for most organizations to be able to afford. Therefore a product needed to be cost effective. If this could be accomplished, there would be more money to go toward the mission statement of the nonprofit organization.
Finally, Mr. Dill also recognized the need to provide a cost effective way for nonprofit organizations to have their own website and e-mail addresses. For a nonprofit organization to have their own website and their own e-mail addresses gives them more credibility in the nonprofit world.
